The UK gas market is taking advantage of lower demand and an end to offshore maintenance work to begin making net injections of gas into storage, according to latest nominations data.

According to data collected by Bentek Energy, a unit of Platts, there were net injections into storage of 25 million cu m on Saturday and 34 million cu m on Sunday, with further net injections of 11 million cu m expected on Monday.

Last Friday the market recorded net withdrawals of 29 million cu m.

Latest storage data from industry association Gas Storage Europe shows UK stocks 18.35% full on Sunday, with stocks of 856 million cu m.
